Instruction of free bookkeeping and accounting excel template:
- Choose "Yes" if you need to account for GST in cell B26, choose "No" if you don't account for GST.
- Clear sample data in column: Date, Supplier, Description, Category and Amount.
- Input your expenses in each row, only input in colored cell. Choose categories from drop down list.
- In case of GST is not 100%, please enter in corresponding row for GST amount in column F.
- Customize categories in "Categories" tab in column A from cell A1 to A25, excel will automatically update.
- Go to "Quarter Summary" to refresh data for updated quarterly summary.
- Quarterly GST credit is automatically updated for BAS reporting. (Warning: be aware of excel quarter is different with Australian Financial Year Quarter, be careful for the amount to be reported.)
Tips and Notes:
- The free bookkeeping excel summary is to row 1000 only, customize more rows if you need to.
